Clean, gently exfoliate 24 to 48 hours before your appointment; avoid moisturizers, heavy tanning, and caffeine on the day. Hair should be approximately 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Wear comfortable clothing and notify your esthetician about allergies.
Some discomfort is normal, but our estheticians use fast technique, pre-wax numbing options, and soothing post-wax care to minimize pain. Sensitivity varies; regular waxing often reduces discomfort over time as hair thins and skin adapts.
Most clients enjoy smooth chest or stomach skin for three to six weeks, depending on hair growth cycles and individual hormones. Regular waxing can extend time between appointments by weakening hair follicles and promoting finer regrowth.
Topical retinoids, prescription acne meds, and certain exfoliants increase skin sensitivity and can cause adverse reactions. Discontinue retinoids at least five to seven days prior if possible, and consult your dermatologist or esthetician before booking.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, heavy exercise, and swimming for 24 to 48 hours. Apply soothing, fragrance-free moisturizers and SPF to protect treated skin. Exfoliate gently after 3–5 days to prevent ingrown hairs and maintain smooth results.
Most clients rebook every four to six weeks based on regrowth and personal preference. Estheticians will recommend a schedule tailored to your hair cycle, skin sensitivity, and desired maintenance frequency for optimal comfort and results.
